The restaurant is a remarkable example of sustainable architecture that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. Located in the culturally rich and scenic province of Son La in northern Vietnam, the restaurant is part of a new hotel complex aimed at promoting tourism in the area.
The design features an open-air bamboo dining hall, which is the centerpiece of the restaurant. This hall is supported by 96 bamboo columns, each composed of four bamboo canes, creating a vertical expression reminiscent of a bamboo forest. The bamboo used, known locally as “Luong,” is treated using traditional Vietnamese methods, including soaking in mud and smoking, to enhance its durability.
