[About the design]
The design features a multistory hotel building with a façade that combines concrete louvers with greenery interspersed, creating a visually interesting landmark from the direction of the sea coast. The green layer provides a visual barrier that enhances the privacy of the resort while allowing natural ventilation. The building consists of three floors with 32 rooms, arranged in an L-shape embracing the swimming pool. Balconies overlooking the pool attract guests to water activities while still allowing private relaxation behind the green façade.
The use of local materials, such as precast concrete louvers with a wooden texture and various local plant species, reflects the cultural richness of the region and adds an authentic touch to the design. The concrete louvers, measuring 5×15 cm, are designed to minimize thermal radiation in the hot tropical climate, working as a buffer space that allows plants to grow.
